Delete your Azadaar account

You can permanently delete your Azadaar account and its data at any time. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

Delete from inside the app

Open Azadaar and go to the Profile tab.
Tap Settings.
Tap Delete account.
Confirm with your password.

Request deletion by email

If you can no longer sign in or install the app, email shaghilkhalid8@gmail.com from the address registered to your account and ask us to delete it. We verify ownership of that address before acting, and complete the request within 30 days.

What is deleted

Your account: name, email address, phone number, postal address, biography and profile photo
Your event RSVPs, reactions and invitations
Your questions and conversations with scholars
Your community posts, including any contact details in them
Scholars you follow and your feedback messages
Your notifications and push-notification tokens

What is kept

Events, lectures, articles and books you published stay available to the community, with your name and authorship permanently removed so they can no longer be traced to you. This keeps content other members rely on from disappearing.

We may retain a minimal record where the law requires it — for example to comply with a legal obligation or to resolve a dispute. Anything retained on that basis is limited to what is necessary and is not used to contact you.

Timing

In-app deletion takes effect immediately. Copies held in encrypted backups are overwritten within 30 days.
